^Good point. I guess I just don't see the Cardinals doing it.

Harold Reynolds thinks he wont be a Card in 4 months, either traded to NYY or BOS for some package around Tex or Gonzo.

Can't see it myself, I think the Cards will hold onto him and get a deal done after the series.

Forgot about the NTC, that does kind of put a dent in his prediction. Guess he will be a Card for the season.

Gee, I wonder why Albert didn't like the deal on the table?

On the day Pujols cut off negotiations and declared his intention to hit free agency, it became obvious why: The Cardinals’ best offer had been between $19 million and $21 million per season, according to Foxsports.com’s Ken Rosenthal, which would make Pujols about the 10th-highest paid player in the game.

Less than Ryan Howard’s $25 million a year. Less than Mark Teixeira’s $22.5 million a year. Less than every incarnation of Adrian Gonzalez’s reported deal

^ Why people continue to grant merit to any of the rumors going around is beyond me. I've heard about 20 different rumors of offers that were reportedly made to Pujols.
