If I grew up in the late 50s-60s I'd probably loathe the Yankees... they've never really stopped the Sox from doing anything in my lifetime though. Absolutely destroyed my dads youth though. He hates them.

Thats because most Red Sox fans are pessimistic dumbasses who suffer from the "what have you done for me lately syndrome" more than any other fan base. Some "fans" were complaining that this regime was cheap, yet those same fans are complaining about the Crawford contract.
