This trade made The Show 2011 even better already. Can't wait to play as the Brewers and not have to wait for Gallardo's next start all the time.
Pitching in the NL Central is solid. I feel like the Brewers bats are far superior to any other team, but pitching is still up in the air. Either way, I think it's enough to make them a contender for the division again.

Don't get me wrong, that lineup brings the punch, but the Reds led the NL is just about everything meaningful, return everybody, and have half the lineup just entering their prime.
Looks like Milwaukee finally has their ace. Interesting move, they snuck into this out of nowhere.
edit- have ye a link?
Yovanni has been here. I have a feeling Yo will still be #1, letting some of the pressure Grienke has made it known he does not like off of him.

Wow, I didn't see him getting moved here.
I was kinda on the fence. As soon as the offseaon started, here in Mke, its been rumblings. Very optimistic people thought we had a chance(me)even though it was still kind of a pipe dream. Then when Grienke came out with his list of ideal places and Milwaukee made the list, it still seemed a long shot.
Holy shit, this is hands down the best lineup in the NL Central.
If Gomez starts more than 50 games this year i will find his apartment and blow the thing up.
The local news has been all over this so far this morning, and rightfully so. Not much mention of the Packers this morning, which bizarre enough. The program went like this, shooting, car accident, car accident, Brewers for the rest of the morning.
The Royals can have the 2 pitchers going bye bye is a non issue, Escobar hits as good as my daughter, and Betancourt cant possibly be much worse. Cain sucks, but when you make real baseball moves, you gotta do this kinda stuff. Great job Doug Melivn.
While the Phillies are clinching by July, this division should be interesting.
Come on, it'll take them at least until August. Hudson-Hanson-Jurrjens-Lowe-Minor is not too shabby in its own right.
But Greinke should dominate the NL and this definitely makes the Brewers the prohibitive favorite in that division. They remind me of the Rangers of last year, dangerous lineup and emerging pitching anchored by one big time acquisition.
The NL Central is going to be the most top heavy division of all time. There will be three good-to-great teams up top, and three absolutely dreadful teams at the bottom.
Love me some Braves, but the Phillies are the clear cut favorite in the NL East. Braves are playing for a wildcard spot barring injuries.
Sadly, you're probably right. Wild Card will be tougher to come by also now that the Brewers pitchers are sort of for real. Hope Heyward makes a leap and Chipper and Prado can stay healthy.
The lineup is better, the bullpen a bit worse, and we lose the Bobby factor. Gonna be an unpredictable year for Atlanta.
Not to be offtopic, put I'm really interested in what the Braves will do in reaction of not having Bobby Cox. The Uggla acquisition is great, but that puts Prado in a not-so-familiar position. Very unpredictable year for the Braves to say the least.
Pretty excited about this. Thinking about picking up the 20 game Saturdays season tickets. Just gotta find someone to join me.
Gonna be sooooo nice to have a rotation finally. Little worried about SS at the moment but there is still plenty of time to work something out there. And hopefully Gomez gets it together, not counting on it but it would be a pleasant surprise.
