This will have to be updated later anyway based on how the rest of free agency plays out. Specifically on whether or not Pettitte returns to the Yankees or not. If he doesn't come back then they can easily be a non-playoff team with only Sabathia and Hughes as quality big league pitchers on their roster at this point, barring Burnett suddenly becoming useful again. Hughes isn't even a sure thing at this point either. He had a dreadfully bad second half last year, and was terrible in the playoffs.

I refuse to ever pick against the Yankees, until they finish a distant third or fourth and prove that they're dead. Until then, it's impossible to not squeeze them into the playoffs somehow, and you might as well just pick them to win it all.

Yep, because even if they do struggle out of the gate, there is the guarantee that they'll make a move at the deadline.

The AL East is pretty clear cut this year. Tampa will take a step back, and the Sox will mash their way back to the playoffs. The rest of the divisions will pretty much hold to form I'm guessing, with maybe the Brewers or Cards supplanting Cincinnati in the Central.

Wouldn't surprise me to see Colorado take the NL West, but they are so hard to call because they start slow every year.

As a Reds fan, I can see them taking a step back. They won two years ahead of plan. The team was built for 2012.

I hope this is the year the Nationals avoid the NL East cellar. I thought it would happen last year.

Tigers wont finish 3rd. They no longer are held back by Gerald Laird. The Player that can make an entire team worse just by being on the active roster.

Hey guys, you probably know me as the homer extraordinaire from the NFL section. Well now I'm officially announcing that I'm taking my talents to the MLB section. With Greinke in Milwaukee, I'm ready to let my Brewer homerism out. It's World Series time!

Anyways, it's way to early to be making predictions at this point. They won the AL Central last year, but with Pavano and Thome still free agents, they've lost a lot of talent this offseason. If they resign those two they'll become a much more talented team. So take these predictions with a grain of salt, they'll change a lot by April.
