Nationals aquire Tom Gorzelanny from Cubs

...for three monor leaguers who have yet to be revealed. None are expected to be good prospects.

Gorzelanny was the odd man out after the Cubs traded the entire farm system, the remains of Ron Santo, and the deed to Wrigley Field for Matt Garza. I think Gorzelanny stinks, but he's a decent innnigs filler for the back of the Nats rotation, and they presumably didn't give up much. The Cubs get some bodies back, so AAA Iowa can now field a team.

But seriously, much like Baltimore & KC, at least the Nats have gone out and tried to do some things this offseason. It's tough when people don't want to play for you. Teams like the Pirates don't even have a plan.
