It's crazy because I remember Dunn had a huge game on Opening Day when the Sox pounded Fausto Carmona. I think he hit a 3-run bomb in his second at bat and I was fist pumping to myself thinking *1 down, 39 to go* ... Well yeah, he ended up hitting 39 more. Singles.

Lost in the LOLDUNN madness, is a host of players who had horrendous seasons. Tyler Colvin, Magglio Ordonez, etc..

True. There were a lot of really bad seasons this year. Allow me to add Pedro Alvarez and Ian Stewart.

Dunn was not that great of a fielder but I'm sure he took pride in being a full time player. It's hard to reconcile with only getting off the bench once every few innings if you've never done it before.
Absolutely. The first thing Frank Thomas said when the move went down is how much switching from full-time field to DH can affect your game.
