    Mike Leake Arrested

Mike Leake was arrested Monday in Hamilton County, Ohio on charges of theft.
Leake was stopped by Macy's employees in downtown Cincinnati after trying to leave the store with nearly $60 worth of T-shirts. He was taken to jail and is facing a misdemeanor. Leake, 23, is earning right around $425,000 this season
    -Rotoworld.

    That's embarrassing.

That is laughable........if you are going to shoplift, at least aim higher than a couple t-shirts. Then again, being a professional ballplayer, he shouldn't have to shoplift.

Although it's unlikely, there is a chance he could be innocent. When I worked retail there was a rash of incidents where people would put merchandise in other people's bags so they'd trigger off the alarms and get the store's attention. They would then use that time to break security tags off larger items so they could get away with it.

Doubt this is the case though

This reminds me of when Seton Hall hoops coach Bobby Gonzales was arrested for stealing a $300 man purse from Nordstroms. Gonzales was making around $1M per year.

What the fuck is wrong with these people?

I guess that was after stores got wise to people putting merchandise into large Rubbermaid containers. I never heard of what you are describing though, but it makes sense.

I was just reading an article that said they have video evidence of him ripping the tags off of the shirts. What an idiot.
