In Ryan Braun's first at bat tonight, they played a sound bite from his press conference yesterday (where he said he wanted to be a Brewer forever because of the great fans) the crowd went wild. He had a standing ovation before each of his first two at bats, and a curtain call after his three run homer in the third inning. :D

Hanley signed a 6 year, $70 million deal after his 2nd year... that's far, far, far below market value for him.
So you don't believe that the Cardinals have had Pujols at a huge discount for the past four or five years? He's not even in the top 25 in salaries this season.

Who is going to pay Prince $200 plus million? Yankees, Red Sox, and Phillies all have their guy locked up; Mets and Dodgers are in a financial mess; leaving only the Angels and Cubs as viable options.

Very nice deal for the Brewers and Braun, nice contract for the Brewers and Braun and a lot of years for both sides.
