    Tyler Colvin

    He's batting a crisp .088, with 7 total hits.

I know he spent some time in AAA, and I know the Cubs have a bunch of overpaid OF's they have to justify with playing time, but what is going on with this guy?

It seems like he hasnt been the same since he was staked through the heart like a vampire last year.

    Cubs fans, any perspective?

Is he on the big team hitting like that? HE's still young and should be getting some AB's in the minors if he's still with the Cubs getting sporadic PT.

I think the Cubs were assuming Fukudome was going to tank to give Colvin at bats. They've tryed him out at 1B. Basically they fucked with his head, didn't give him constant PT and Kosuke and Soriano started out hot so he was rotting away on the bench. Started pressing a bit and it all went down hill. He hasn't looked lost at the plate, just really pressing.

I now assume that the Cubs guys just stopped taking steroids and have had their numbers dwindle. Ramirez, Soto, and Pena all fall into that boat. Perhaps Colvin is the same? Anyway, Colvin reminds me of a former Cub catcher named Todd Pratt. One year it was like halfway through the summer and Pratt's batting average was still .000
