I've heard his weight is an issue to some teams but I've never heard lazy either. Fielder's defense is that he's always been a big boy and he has hit well in spite of his weight up until now, so why would it be any different in the future?

      Nope you're way off.

You get 10/12 keepers, if you keep less then that, then you get x amount of picks before everyone else who kept the max amount, where x is the number of players below the max that you keep.

Ah I thought I had read you'd get back the pick in relation to where they were drafted, which is common in keeper leagues and makes sense.

Just another Batman/Old Fart rule that I won't even bother to try and understand why.

It was discussed, and we decided to go with the simpler system.

So I did see it then, cool. Well I guess I'll just keep him then and trade him early next year. Be on the lookout gents.

Crazy to think at one time that was a legitimate rumor.

Throw in Dee Gordon and Kershaw and we can talk.

Yeah, I brought up using a FF structure I used before where you lost the round draft pick that the player was taken in.

If you kept Fielder, you lost your first rounder. If I kept Holliday I lost my second. etc.

I like that structure a bit better than what we ended up deciding on...IMO it's simpler. But whatevs.

My ceiling on Pujols would be 7 years, $200m; ceiling on Fielder 8 years $180. Fielder hitting the free agent market only improves the chances of Pujols re-signing with the Cardinals since there are only a few teams who can afford either and need a first baseman. I still think the Cubs are going to make a foolish offer to Pujols that he can't refuse, but we'll see. It's going to be an interesting off-season, that's for sure.

                          Thats really convoluted and confusing.

                          Nothing is simpler than this:

                          -Name your keepers.

-Everyone shows up for the re draft.

                          -Business as usual.

How can anything be simpler than that? No need to keep track of skipped rounds or whatever.

And I still dont understand Gob's system. I'm just showing up for the draft. Tell me when I pick.
