My theory is the Red Sox have taken on characteristics of the Mets due to all of the Met Sox fans that have developed over recent years.

For those who don't know , a Met Sox fan is one normally a Met fan, but starts taking up on the Red Sox because they care more about the Yankees losing then how their own team plays.
