Signing Reyes certainly would be exciting, but I just don't see how its possible. I don't think the team can afford Reyes or Fielder. Of course if Mark Attanasio is willing to commit to a 100 million payroll for the next five years, that changes everything.

I want the team to look into trading expensive players like Randy Wolf and Corey Hart where they can get similar production internally for a lot less money.

The Brewers offered Fielder 6/110 or something along those lines and Fielder turned it down. Reyes will not get more than 110 imo, I think he'll get a deal somewhere around 5/100. Depending on if teams get into a bidding war with him.

The Brewers have a new TV deal that is going to be in-effect starting next year. That's additional revenue, plus Wolf's contract is up after next season as well.

I can easily see them signing him.

Resigning zack greinke should be the Brewers number one goal. If signing Reyes prevents them from signing Greinke then I'll pass.

I don't want the 2013 rotation to be:
        Yovani gallardo
        "Doug Melvin free agent special"
        Chris Narveson
        Michael Fiers
        Willy Peralta

Greinke will take Tim Hudson's place in the rotation for 2013.

You've got it mixed up. The Braves are going to trade Jason Heyward for Corey Hart!

I don't see the Mets giving him a 5/100 deal.

UDPATE: Yahoo! Sports' Tim Brown tweets that Madson and the Phillies are nearing agreement on a 4-year deal that could be worth $11 million per season.

If the deal gets done, and it appears it will, the Red Sox would be left with Papelbon at the top of their wish list at closer.

Marlins may offer Reyes a short-term deal, something like 3 years, $80+ million

Deal isn't official, they are still talking to both Madson and Papelbon

I just asked this question MLB Trade Rumors Live Chat

                              [Comment From Sean:]
I hear Marlins are going to throw a ton of cash at Reyes but for a short term, something like 3 years/$80MM. Any truth to this?

                              Tim Dierkes:
The rumor was three years at $20MM+ per, and it came from one anonymous Mets employee. So that's shaky stuff. I could see the Marlins making a 3/60 offer, sure, but I think they'd present four and five-year options too.
