Noland Reimold or Felix Pie... pick your poison.

Melancon is a sneaky acquisition for Boston, he's good.

Would you rather pay Betancourt 1/4 or Alex Gonzalez 1/4.25? He's slightly overpaid but it's a one year deal so meh. If he reaches 525 PA the option vests, so it probably will, but you never know.

I would rather have Alex Gonzalez at 1/4.25 over Furcal at 2/14.

What other options were around? Reyes, no. Barmes? He got over 5 million as well. So did Carroll.
Barmes and Carroll are both better then Gonzalez. I laughed at the contracts they got, but Foug Melvin just waited another week to go full retard.

Not much of an upgrade from Betancourt.

Was there anyone in house who could give you .290 OBA and average defense? Otherwise, you were going to have to overpay someone, because all of these MI are getting paid this offseason.

I really hope Yanks didn't put an offer out for Yu Darvish, the Japanese pitchers just can't pitch here it's all in the numbers. Hope the rangers blow it up and bid $100 million in cash.

I am pretty excited- I'll have to look for it when I get home, seeing as how the Sun has yet to report it.

I'm sure we won't get both. The club seems reluctant to trade Adam Jones. You guys are also good on the corners, so I doubt that Mark Reynolds would be involved. I could definitely see Nolan Reimold coming your way, as well as Robert Andino. Andino would be your short stop for a year, and then move back into a utility role. If both players are in play, I have to think something else goes to the Braves, but I don't know what that would be. Unless the team is definitely trading Jones.

I think Jones is a no go on any trade. But I did hear that Matusz could be a name. Matusz would be money in the NL but i'd be upset if we traded him.

As for Andino, I hope we hold onto him. I don't know if B-Rob has it in him anymore, not physically but mentally. Andino could be a stop gap for a year until we can go out and get someone cause we have jack shit in the minors at second.

I'll pass on Saunders. He's no better than what we have. Theriot fits like a glove, i'll take him.

Theriot is one of the players Ive always hated because hes played for the Cubs and Cardinals, but I would welcome him in Cincy.

He doesn't have a glove though.

Perfect insurance policy for Cozart, and the kind of versatile utility guy Dusty loves.

The Braves want to get rid of starters though, because they have such a backlog in the organization. Jurrjens is a piece not because they have to trade him, but because he is expendable because of organizational depth. I don't think Matusz is a piece they would be looking into.

Prado makes sense because he has experience playing second. It isn't his best position, but they can put him there. That way, if Roberts is still out, you have a guy who can hit around the top of the order and play second in Prado, have Reynolds at third and Davis at first (or vice versa.) In a perfect world, I think the Orioles would want to have Luke Scott back in left field, have Prado at third and Davis as a rotating DH.

Honestly, I would really love to have Jurrjens at the top of the rotation. That would be such a huge move for this team, moreso than adding Prado or anyone else not named Prince Fielder. Still weird that the Sun has no mention of it, but then again, they stand behind the team and don't seem to criticize.
