Apparently Cashner has top of the rotation potential. I've never seen it..but whatever.

Wonder if Rizzo's poor MLB showing had an effect on this. Could have driven his price down, but after only 40-something games? I seriously doubt it.

Either that happened, San Diego knew something is up with him and dumped him (still don't know why they would get more then), or they just fucked up.

The writing was on the wall when the Padres got Alonso. Obviously they were turned off by Rizzo's embarrassing MLB stint last season, and were also dealing from a position of weakness because teams knew they had to trade one of these three 1B.

The Padres are going to look really bad if Rizzo ends up better than Alonso, and Latos becomes a true #1.
