Seth Smith finally traded ... to Oakland

The Colorado Rockies have traded outfielder Seth Smith to the Oakland Athletics for right-hander Guillermo Moscoso and left-hander Josh Outman.

Guillermo Moscoso and Josh Outman are headed back to Colorado.

Didn't you guys see the movie?

He just casually calls up teams, says "Whatcha want for Rincon?....uh huh....ok....DO IT!", then hangs up the phone.

There is no plan, he just listens to the little fat guy, who happens to be the only person on his staff (I mean, they pay for cans of Pepsi, this is Oakland!).

That was the most laughable scene of the movie, in my opinion. Thinking of a proposal, making the proposal and consummating the trade all in the manner of seconds?

Totally how baseball trades work, they nailed it!

I watched that movie with my mom this past weekend on a visit and she was like "Is that really how baseball trades work?"

...Um, no I'm hoping they do a little bit more research.

Well ... wait ... I thought that was the point of the movie ...

You can't even make a VSD Fantasy League trade that easily. I've seen smoother Arab/Israeli negotiations than what you have to go through to swap a closer for a backup OF.
