Someone may have tricked the Yankees and BoSox into thinking they're the Louisville Sluggers.

Baltimore spent 24 mil on nothing but slant eyed mother fuckers.

And Wilson Betemit and Endy Chavez, who would be great depth signings.....for a competing team.

I like the fact that Duquette wanted to add some guys with higher OBP, but seriously? Just put that money into player development, which is hard to quantify but I'm sure the Orioles spent quite a bit to revamp their international scouting.

Oh, and get a marquee name that will drive people back, even in the midst of perpetual rebuilding.

I really hope that Duquette is the guy to turn it around, but I feel he will do what the rest of his predecessors did:

I honestly believe that Angelos is afraid of another Albert Belle signing. The whole cheapness thing is always what everyone is gonna talk about but he was burned badly by that. Still no excuse.

Insurance covered a lot of that one if I recall. Now if you put Miguel Tejada in there, I could see it.

I do wonder, though, what would have happened if we had also signed Vladimir Guerrero that off-season. Once again, Angelos played cheap until the last minute like with Mussina, and Guerrero went to the Angels. That would have made for a legit lineup, and definitely made Baltimore a destination.

Awesome, $16 million by the Mets to finish last in the division.

Always good to see that the only teams who spent less than your team spent $0.
