I love the completely random and sorta pathetic attempt to throw the Mets a bone by giving them north Jersey.

Chicago guys, help me out, but I would imagine the Cubs/Sox split is equally random.

Orioles have a large portion of the DC/MD/VA Bech area but i don't see pirates fans being that large

Im going to venture to some far reaching, dusty nether region of Nevada, and ask some leather skinned rancher who his favorite MLB team is. He better say...

"Well, I happen to be partial to the A's. What's it to ya, friend?"

        ...or I will be disappointed.

The Illinois/Chicago area is straight forward. In the city the Northside South side stuff is pretty pronounced from my experience. As you get further west towards Iowa the White Sox fans aren't as numerous. It's not too bad but I think they give the Sox base too much credit in western Illinois.

There are no Mets fans in Jersey. They are all Yankees fans. An accurate map would show maybe half of Long Island in orange, but more likely just 1/4 of it, and the rest of the tri-state in navy blue.

Yeah,North Jersey is about a 70/30 split at best in favor of the Yankees. South Jersey is 70/30 Phillies/Yankees, and Mets get nothing.

Sidenote-south Jersey is a bunch of piney weirdos, so nobody really gives a fuck anyway. All south Jersey is good for is Atlantic City and dumping bodies.

I would say most of the baseball fans around this area(western Illinois) that I know are Cubs are Cardinals fans. I only know one White Sox fan.

I'd pretty much say the White Sox have the southside and some of the Dekalb/Rockford area...and that's pretty much it.

Yeah, and I'll add that Cardinals country creeps up pretty far north in IL too. My cousins live in Bloomington and they say they are overwhelmed by Cardinals fans.

The Braves region looks like it should own most of northern Florida at least. The Braves dominated Florida before the Rays and Marlins moved in. I think that the Rockies base includes some of those mountainous states in the west like Nevada, Utah, Wyoming, etc. Maybe they didn't want to put a huge black spot right on the map.
