    Down on the Farm

    Who wrote this?

Cubs at 20 seems a tad low, I'd have them more around 15-17.

Their pitching prospects suck though and most of the positional prospects with high hopes aside from Brett Jackson are still down in AA or below.

I don't get why people are still considering Meso a part of our farm system. He's our starting catcher this season. :leake:

Until you lose rookie eligibility I believe Law still considers you a "prospect" whether or not you have a big league job heading into camp.

In advance of the top 100 prospects list, I've ranked the 30 MLB teams' farm systems based solely on the players currently in the organization who have not yet lost their major league rookie eligibility. Thus, Brett Lawrie doesn't count for the Toronto Blue Jays, but Mike Trout does still count for the Los Angeles Angels.

You think I actually was going to read that opening statement? I skimmed until I saw CINCINNATI REDS and that was that.

                  Nationals 21? Seriously dude.

How are the Orioles rated higher than the Nats!?!

                  Harper >>>>> Machado
                  Rendon >>>>> Bundy?

Please, those two alone should vault the Nats in to the top 15. Thats two guys who would crack most Top 50 prospects list. Oh and Harper is number 1.

This was potentially a top-10 system before the Gio Gonzalez trade, no worse than top 15. But after dealing A.J. Cole, Brad Peacock and Derek Norris -- probably three of the Nats' top 10 guys before the Gio swap -- this system lacks depth.

Did not expect the Orioles to be that high.......most people rank them near the bottom. Heck, BA had the 7th best prospect as someone we picked up in the Rule 5 draft.

Though I like all of the international signings already this year. Those will be huge in a couple years as we do more internationally and start moving these players through the system. I also can't wait to see what Peterson and Correnti do with pitching development.

                        Complete and utter horseshit.

                        Lacks depth my ass.

                              Still better than the Orioles.

Harper alone should put the Nats at 20 or higher. There hasn't ever been a better prospect in the history of baseball.
