Find a Better Minor League Rotation

Projected starting rotation for the Double-A Mets to begin 2012

(baseball america team prospect ranking & then baseball prospectus)

    1 RHP Zack Wheeler BA#1 BP#2
    2 RHP Jeurys Familia BA#4 BP#3
    3 RHP Matt Harvey BA#2 BP#1
    4 LHP Darin Gorski BA#20 BP#14
    5 RHP Armando Rodriguez

If that's how it turns out, sweeet for those fans up in Binghamton.

    Gwinnett Braves next year:

    1. Teheran
    2. Delgado
    3. Vizcaino
    4. Gilmartin
    5. Hoover

Pretty, prettaaaaayy good. The top four could hold down a big league job right now.

But yeah the Mets look to finally have things going in the right direction with the stockpiling of arms. Picking up Wheeler at the deadline will be one of those deals you talk about for years. Sabey Sabes says you're welcome.

Zack Wheeler is gonna be the real deal, the others are still projects except probably for Familia. I see him being pretty good also and that enough will be great for the Mets. Its still a very long road and the next step is trading Wright for even more prospects.

Its gonna be a long year at work

but yeah we have some great arms coming up and that's all we really have...MEts system is lacking some bats....

In that stadium it's not like you are going to put up a ton of runs, so I agree with this approach. Stock up on the arms...

Couldn't you say the opposite though as well? Find undervalued decent pitchers who will thrive in Citi Field and trade those stud arms for big bats to produce in that park?

Don't forget they are in the process of bringing in the fences at Citi. It won't be the Great American Ballpark, but I expect David Wright to have the best offensive season since it opened.
