Well if he's going to erupt, he doesn't have to worry about pressure being on him.

All eyes are on Lawrie to be that guy, he's an afterthought that's barely mentioned in local media. So if the mentioned pressure of being the next Cards star was an issue, that's gone.

I'm hopeful he does, we'll need him to.

Pedro Alvarez huh? LOL at the reasoning behind that. "Well, Alex Gordon was the same way, and he'll be extra motivated and stuff, thus he will obviously finally figure out how to hit major league pitching."

        Hey, Pedro ...

I'm interested. He certainly has talent and athleticism
The king was shaken. He went up to the room over the gateway and wept.
As he went, he said: "O my son Absalom! My son, my son Absalom!
If only I had died instead of you
O Absalom, my son, my son!"

            Hey, Pedro ...

Jim Bowden wrote this, what did you expect?

I don't know what is worse, Bowden as a GM or Bowden being paid to write for a paid service like Insider.

Figured it was a Bowden piece. His writing and analysis for Insider has about as much depth and insight as a lower rung B/R article.

Wasn't expecting a Jerry Sands sighting there. Dude has all the power in the world. What a steal that would be if he has a break out season.

Gaby's had a good off-season, instead of training in the traditional power+oly lifts, its been a lot more conditioning and cardio based weight training. He looks in much better shape, while maintaining a consistent weight.

Last season, the grind of the year + the injuries got to him by mid-August.

This is some top notch analysis.
