[ame="http://www.amazon.com/Ballpark-Book-journey-Through-Baseball/dp/0892047038"]Amazon.com: The Ballpark Book : A journey Through the Fields of Baseball Magic (0079837007032): Ron Smith: Books[/ame]

My favorite book as a kid.

Holman Stadium in Nashua, I love the trees surrounding the ballpark, instead of buildings or a parking lot.

Up North by our cottage, they have a gimmick called Snowshoe softball. I'm sure you can imagine what that's like. All the fields are like that, except replace the stadium with a few small bleachers.

About 15 minutes outside of Minocqua, Wisconsin. Lake Tomahawk calls itself the Snowshoe Baseball capital of the world, but Minocqua also has a team.

I like Miller Park, but I loved County Stadium. Heres how Milwaukee Baseball looked from 1950 to now....

My train goes over that field every day. Real short porch to right.

Here's the best picture I could find of the field for snowshoe baseball in Lake Tomahawk. I guess it was actually featured on an episode of Andrew Zimmerman's show on the Travel Network:

Centennial Field in Burlington, VT, where the single-A Vermont Lake Monsters play.

Our apartment is right next to the field (indicated by arrow). You can see the top of the grandstand out of the skylight in my room.

Nice. I'm usually right across the state from ya in Hayward.
