I like this thread, but at the same time, damn, I didn't realize it was so easy to be a MLB GM.

Matsui never lived up to the hype (much of it probably due to Hideki), but he was a serviceable major leaguer. Of course, his defense took a hit when he moved to second and his time in NY was a mess b/c they forced Reyes to 2nd initially.

Will never forget though, first at bat in the big leagues and he nails a homer off Russ Ortiz.

I remember when he shut down team USA for Canada in the first WBC, everyone thought he was gonna be a breakout for the O's. Glad to see he's back in camp now, if he pulls a Rick Ankiel and makes the big leagues twice, it will be damn impressive.

                            Ryan Anderson
THE LITTLE UNIT! I swear I saw this guy pitch in five different Future's Games.

Well he has tons of power and the Mets need a lefty power hitter and he fits that. Only thing is in spring he's struck out in around half of his AB's...and defensively isn't great. If he can just be that lefty power bat, he'll do fine and as it stands he has a great shot to make the team.
