No. I'm intentionally being a homer and having fun with this. I'm obviously joking. Jansen won't get a single vote even though he's the best reliever on the Dodgers because he's not the closer. K/9 means nothing to writers unless you do it in the 9th inning or as a starter. Ethier will have a big year though. Contract year without any injury excuses. He doesn't have anything to be a crybaby about. Comeback Player of the Year? Probably not. But I don't care because I wasn't being serious.

Ethier winning anything is laughable. He's an average player at best, who had an average year, playing all year. And you think he's going to win comeback player of the year? Comeback from what? The average play that has marked every year of his career except one?
The comeback award is always given to a star player who comes back from an injury the year before. Ethier fits neither category. However there are plenty of actual stars in the NL who do. Wainwright, Johnson, Posey, etc. The prediction is simply laughable.Comment
