            That's awesome ...
The king was shaken. He went up to the room over the gateway and wept.
As he went, he said: "O my son Absalom! My son, my son Absalom!
If only I had died instead of you
O Absalom, my son, my son!"

Hasn't really been useful since 2004.

Awaiting the praise of his defense to make up for slugging around .330.

You were groaned for your general curmudgeonry towards the situation!

He'll be 45 in a month, it's a nice story. He should keep playing until they stop offering him money. And i'd say he's been useful at worst up until last season. Two years ago he got on base at a .340 clip in nearly 400 PA's, and while the stats suggest he's an average defender at best the last two years, as recently as 2009 he was clearly a plus defender.

So, boo to you. I bet you're rooting against Moyer, too!

Nah Moyer has actually been pretty useful as a pitcher in recent years whereas Omar continued to get starts he clearly didn't deserve for the White Sox based off reputation and past performance. He got a fucking start at DH.

Listen, I'm not coming down on him or "THE STORY: IT'S A GOOD ONE!" I'm just saying he really hasn't been useful except spot starting defensive replacement. I guess it'll be a great story when Jack Hanrahan is still making teams when he's 45... I guess we'll see.

Yeah, it's still a good story for him. More power to him for still playing and still getting a paycheck. I'm just saying it's silly for teams to continue to pay him and give him opportunities. It's whatever though. GOOD STORY IN SPORTS!

When I walked away from the computer before, I realized that Fed was salty because of the Ozzie Veteran Initive.

Now being the thread grump makes sense. Its like when im the only guy ripping Griffey because he was fat and lazy in Cincy.

                        Hello exactly.

Ozzie started him at DH.... in 2010.

                        Omar Vizquel. Designated, Hitter.

Well to be fair, when you are having to choose between Adam Dunn and Omar Vizquel...I can't fault him for picking Ozzie.

Adam Dunn wasn't on the White Sox in 2010.
