Carlos Marmol struck out three in two scoreless innings, keeping the Mets down in the ninth, 10th and 11th innings. Marmol also batted for himself in the 10th and flew out to left field, a ball that was seen by thousands of hearts as a near home run, even if it wasn't really close.

Marmol received a standing ovation from Dodger fans as he exited the game last night.

Marmol sucks and the worst thing that can happen to the Dodgers is that he gains Mattingly's trust, because mark my words he will blow a playoff game.

I said the same thing about Broxton last year, and granted a Rolen bobble contributed heavily but Broxton was on the mound when the Reds blew the game that would have finished off the Giants.
