    2012 Cleveland Indians

    So far, so bad.

Two great pitching performances by Masterson & Jiminez only to be hindered by back to back extra inning losses.

Indians didn't do much in the off-season besides acquiring Casey Kotchman. Kotchman can't hit whatsoever so in my opinion they need a new 1st baseman.

0-2 start with a two shaking offensive performances.

I know it's still early but Kipnis & Hannahan seem to be the rising stars on the team.

CLEVELAND (AP) The Cleveland Indians are close to signing veteran outfielder Johnny Damon to help awaken their struggling offense.

The club has been in talks to finalize a deal with the 38-year-old, who is 277 hits shy of 3,000.

In a text to the Associated Press, Damon said: ''It should be done soon.''

Damon played with Tampa Bay - his sixth AL team - last season, batting .261 with 16 homers and 73 RBIs in 150 games. Damon would probably need some time to get ready after not being in a spring training camp. If Damon signs, the Indians would be his fourth team in four years.

Cleveland is off to a 1-4 start and entered Thursday batting .178, the majors' lowest average. The Indians begin a three-game series in Kansas City on Friday.

A career .286 hitter, Damon has also played for Kansas City, Oakland, Boston, the Yankees and Detroit.

Cleveland is pretty desperate so why not bring in Damon. Our bats are so cold right now. Brantley leading off needs to set a better tone for the game. Asdrubal can't hit at all and he was our best hitter last year.

Well it's obvious that the Tribe have no Ace since every pitcher is struggling early in these games. Masterson had a great opening day but no one has really stood out besides the bullpen doing it's job.

I am pleased that the bats have finally awoken. Carlos Santana has to be the best batter when it comes to taking pitches. It seems like every game he is getting walked at least once. Looking at the schedule we really need to get a good amount of wins before we face murderer's row.

Big win for Gomez & the Tribe.

Tonight is Lowe vs Holland. Let us see if the Indians bats can stay hot.

24-18. Looking ahead at the schedule, it doesn't look easy. Bats & Closers are keeping the Tribe ticking.

                      36-32.

@HOU. SHOULD be a sweep, SHOULD...because we really need to load up on wins.

Make or break part of the Tribe schedule leading up to the All-Star break.

@NYY, @BAL, LAA, & TB. I'll be ecstatic if they .500 in that stretch.

Choo & Brantley have really stepped up lately hitting/fielding wise. Brantley's 22-game hitting streak just ended.

Starting pitching is still the weak point obviously. Lowe has been in a funk, along with Gomez as well.

Roberto Hernandez AKA Fausto Carmona is back with the Tribe.

Indians win a series against Detroit then get swept by Minnesota.

So it looks like Sizemore & Hafner are finished as Indians. Cleveland had such bad luck with those guys, particularly Sizemore who was on he verge of being one of the best all around players in the game several years ago.

Choo won't sign an extension, so he could be dealt this offseason. His numbers the last two months or so are back to the usual Choo levels, after a year and a half of sub par play.

I love Hafner but he makes entirely too much money. Sizemore was really enjoyable to watch as a fan. Will not be the same with them gone.

Not a baseball expert but losing Choo is going to suck if that is going to happen Warner.
