Nationals have the most wins in the NL

The king was shaken. He went up to the room over the gateway and wept.
As he went, he said: "O my son Absalom! My son, my son Absalom!
If only I had died instead of you
O Absalom, my son, my son!"

11 of the last 12 hitters to face Venters or Kimbrel have struck out. Unreal.

I don't know the exact stats, but I gotta think this type of stat probably holds true for Chapman as well. 11.1IP 4H 2BB 20K

Andy Pettite still on track to return by May 10th. With Pineda done for the year, that will be a much-needed addition for the Yanks.

Yeah, Venters is at 15 Ks in 7.2 innings. His K/9 is currently at 17.6, Chap's is at 15.8. I think it's safe to say they are the best two lefty relievers in the game today. Would love to see them have a strike out derby or something. You could have Ryan Howard be the batter for each, just to make it even more entertaining.

Low and outside sliders and watch him try to pull them and whiff miserably.

I'd pay to watch that happen for like an hour.

Brandon Allen with the walk-off 2-run HR to sweep the Angels! Just his third at-bat in the last 19 days and he goes yard to win the game for us.

I was driving back from the doctors office listening and Andy Freed was going absolutely nuts. I pulled into a taco bell to get a Baja Blast and see if they had uploaded the highlight but it wasn't. Hell they just added the video of it like 5 minutes ago. His bases loaded walk yesterday also turned out to be the winning run. Just crazy stuff.

As soon as he hit it I knew it was gone. Nice way to win a game. Funny you mention that Freed was going nuts b/c I was thinking he and Dave Wills have to be going nuts on the radio broadcast.

This line from Jayson Stark's column was quite the kick in the dick:

They're already 5 games out in a division they've gotten used to dominating. They've already had more three-game losing streaks (two) than they had in their first 56 games last year (one). And the Braves just scored almost as many runs in a week (62) as the Phillies have scored all season (63).
