Cubs been playing fuckin great lately. LaHair has been red hot, Samardzija is still pitching great, and the team is playing well despite injuries to Demp, Clevenger, and Wood.

After starting 4-11, we have want 5 of our last 8. Things are looking up.

Carlos Beltran brought in more runs in three innings tonight (7) than Albert Pujols has brought in all season (5).

:arrieta: with the gem, allowing five hits in eight innings and he and Johnson combined for the shut out, taking 2 of 3 from the Yankees. Orioles Magic!

Not a very good day for the Sox, but a pretty nice outing for the 2 new call ups. Middlebrooks went 2-3 with a double and a walk and Mortensen came out of the pen for 3 innings and only gave up 1 hit while K'ing 6. His change was just filthy.

                    • How about Clayton Mortensen? The guy who was gained in the Marco Scutaro salary dump allowed a single then retired nine straight, six by strikeout. Believe it or not, Sox relievers have allowed two earned runs in their last 28 innings.

Of course when our bullpen gets hot our bats go quiet.

No good reason. RT @PetersonDouglas: Why would the Brewers start Ishikawa at 1B when they could move Aramis there and promote Taylor Green?

What is going on with Danny Espinosa? He is now below the Mendoza line with zero power.
The king was shaken. He went up to the room over the gateway and wept.
As he went, he said: "O my son Absalom! My son, my son Absalom!
If only I had died instead of you
O Absalom, my son, my son!"

The Cubs had 9 HR all of April...They've hit 5 the last 2 days against the Reds

It's also sad that I feel like a 2-0 or 3-0 is absolutely insurmountable. I have no hope of us coming back once we are down by that much.
