    If MLB really wanted to do away with beanings, they should make it so the guy gets a free pass to second. Instead, they punish a guy when there is already a set punishment of one free base.
    Unless the call is for an intentional walk or to just not throw the guy strikes the pitcher's goal is to get the guy out, not walk him. Not to mention you aren't always going to peg the guy with just one pitch, as evidenced from guys in the past who were actually trying to hit a guy and failed miserably. Couple all this with the fact that if you throw at him, and miss them with guys on base you are just fucking your team over with passed balls.
