    MiLB on MLB Network

Surprised to wake up this (late) morning and find a Lehigh Valley vs Indianapolis game airing. I'll leave it on.

Anyway, it got me to thinking, why doesn't MLB Network show more minor league games? The game i'm watching now is a standard def local feed, so there are little if any production costs involved.

Surely this is a better option than running the previous nights Quick Pitch on a loop all morning, right?

As an employee of a minor-league baseball franchise, I agree.

Totally agree. Although most of it isn't worth watching NBA.TV runs NBADL games throughout the day and it's a good watch. MLB Network should be showing MiLB games throughout the day and a lot more. We're a prospect obsessed generation.

        I'd watch.

God knows the Cubs and Red Sox aren't giving me much to cheer about.

Evan Meek just pitched an inning for Indianapolis. Remember when he was an All-Star like two years ago??

          Hector Luna!!

AAA is fun, because you have a nice mix of ripe prospects, MLB washouts, AAAA guys desperately clinging to the dream, and MLB rehab assignments. You recognize a good portion of the players.

If ESPN can broadcast HS football and basketball games I don't think there is any reason MLB network couldn't do a "featured" MiLB game of the week or two. Show people a lot of cool minor league parks, young players etc. IMO it'd help MiLB attendance too.

Don't really see a down side.

I like Thirsty Thursdays at the Quakes games in Rancho Cucamonga.

Good to see the Ironpigs on TV. Even better that it was when Tyler Cloyd got the start, he is 6-0 with a 1.40 ERA this year.

Would be nice to see them do this even once or twice a week, mix it up with the levels, show us some high prospects. I think a lot of people would be interested in seeing guys like Jurickson Profar, Shelby Miller, ect. on TV
