Post-Dispatch reporting early diagnosis is that Berkman did suffer a torn ACL in right knee Saturday. Monday MRI to confirm.
    probably going to retire too.

On the bright side great debut Matt Adams.

It sucks from an emotional standpoint cause Puma shouldn't end his career like this, but once Craig comes back it shouldn't hurt from a playing standpoint. Craig's a better hitter than Lance is now.

My boy Adams looked awesome last night. Can't believe a local PA boy that went to Slippery Rock is starting for my favorite team. Dude just rakes.

Hosting Boston at home to start the week, should be a good series

Sucks that we have a 4 game series with the Barves while the Crads are playing the fucking Padres. Whatever, go Reeds!

According to fangraphs, Ian Desmond has a 1.2 WAR so far this season

He had 1.4 all of last season.

Ian Desmond is a borderline all star shortstop

The king was shaken. He went up to the room over the gateway and wept.
As he went, he said: "O my son Absalom! My son, my son Absalom!
If only I had died instead of you
O Absalom, my son, my son!"

It's more or less fluctuations in his UZR due to the small sample size so far. Judging from his past performance it isn't sustainable. Although the yearly increase in line drives is promising.

Super Excited that the Brewers are moving Corey Hart to 1B, hopefully this is a permanent move.

Carlos Gomez is batting 5th, which is exciting. Gooby will get more pitches to hit now, although I doubt he does anything with them. We scored 16 runs yesterday with gooby on the bench. Coincidence? No. Causation.

Is there a stat that tracks how many times a player hits in to a double play?

GDP is the stat on baseball reference. Just in the standard batting stats.

The only other game Gooby sat out, the Brewers were shut out. Coincidence?
