Rays offense is almost unwatchable at this point. I went to the game on Friday night, scored 5 in the first then nothing. Chen actually rebounded really well, they had guys warming up in the first but he went almost 6 for them which really saved the pen. They are missing their 3 best right handed bats right now so any game vs a lefty till they return has the chance to be ugly, which is what we saw tonight and vs Sale on Monday.

Pena leading off has worked a few times but the guy fucking strikes out way too much, then you follow him with BJ Upton who is also prone to striking out really hurts you later in the games when you need runners moved and can't afford a strikeout. Then Zobrist who has a great eye and a great career average when he swings at the first pitch grounds into a DP with the bases jacked . Strop had just thrown a wild pitch, and then walked Upton, he really should of taken a pitch and made Strop work there, and seen where his control was at.

Any lineup that is getting 2 hit by Brian Matusz is just fucking pathetic.

Matsui has the best walk up selections as well. Goes up to that Kill Bill song you always here and Swedish House Mafia.

Yeah, when I saw the box score I wondered why Pena is leading off. Unconventional ideas are OK, but that is just bad. Following up with Upton just makes it worse.

Matusz has actually performed OK this season, but still hit or miss. Still not back to his second half 2010 form.
