Harper can do it. He just needs some seasoning. He may never be an elite fielder, but he can certainly be as good as Matt Kemp. Which isn't saying much.

Actually, by the time Soler is ready, I expect Goodwin to be ready. So it'll be Soler/Goodwin/Harper

I like Eury Perez in CF

I like Eury Perez in CF

Defensively, I love him. But I think that's his ceiling. He' doesn't have a whole lot of power. He doesn't work walks. He's Joey Gathright 2.0. And that's not really that good. He's young, so he may fill out and add a little more power. But right now, he's all speed and slap hitting.

A lot of the Nationals outfield prospects are more athletic and potential than proven ball player. Hood, Goodwin, Taylor, Perez ... a lot of potential, but a lot of work to be done.

Then move him back to pitcher and make him your #5 starter when Edwin Jackson leaves for another team at the end of the season.

Goodwin is certainly a candidate. Obviously he has to perform at the higher MiLB levels, but he's shown some things already that made the Nats comfortable with giving him $3M.
