        What's Anthony Rendon's injury status?

I was actually just talking about this to a player who was demoted from Potomac the other day. He could be back playing by late August or September...so in reality, his season is basically over. It was just an unlucky play, cause his ankle gave way as he was rounding third to home.

They'll probably send him to the AFL just to get him some at bats. It may have been an unlucky play, but the guy is quickly becoming an injury concern. He's toasted both his ankles now. I'm not sure the Nationals can have him playing second base. Not if they want to keep him healthy.

EDIT - According to MLB Network Radio.... Lombo/Harper became the first pair of rookies in modern baseball history to lead off the game with back to back homers
The king was shaken. He went up to the room over the gateway and wept.
As he went, he said: "O my son Absalom! My son, my son Absalom!
If only I had died instead of you
O Absalom, my son, my son!"

Johan Santana is making his scheduled start Thursday.

Chris Young makes his return to the bigs tomorrow in Washington.

Ruben Tejada will play at AAA this week and could get a call up on Friday for the Yankees series if he makes it through healthy.

And Jason Bay is going to start rehab games at Single-A this week.

Second base would be awful for him because we're loaded there with Espinosa, Lombardozzi, and Kobernus

*Shrugs* I dunno ... they took BPA. Espinosa could move to short or be traded. But, regardless, he's at least another season away now.

Mike Matheny continues to show his ineptitude in managing. He loves using Scrabble longer than he should be in there.

Jarrod Parker has a no hitter thru 7 innings... 107 pitches.

Rook had a 8 innings of one hit ball ... against the Rangers!?!
