    Anthony Rizzo

What do you non-Cubs fans think of him, he was moved up to #20 by Goldstein and could be called up in the next month. Not in lineup tonight, so cue crazy twitter callup rumors.

I think the Cubs should trade LaHair at the peak of his value and call up Rizzo asap.

They missed that boat by three weeks then. LaHair is a platoon bat, at best. But yeah, they need to either trade Soriano and stick LaHair out there, or trade LaHair, or just trade them both if at all possible.

        Good point.

I was shocked to find out he was 30. He was under my radar forever I guess.

We need to wait another 17 days to keep another year of team control, so hopefully we can trade LaHair by then, but his peak value is gone, I was never sold on him anyway.

Who was the last player to get called up and then immediately bat third?

That's a deep cut, right there. Had to Google him.

It wasn't a trivia question or anything. I don't know the answer. I was discussing this with my friend and neither of us could come up with anything. Harper, Heyward, Griffey, A-Rod, Bonds, McGwire, Mauer, Chipper... None of these guys did it. Or at least we don't think so.

Good article about Rizzo from FanGraphs. There are a couple videos so here is the link:

Few players have had the swings of fortune that Anthony Rizzo has experienced. After being drafted in the sixth round by the Red Sox in 2007, he had an unspectacular but promising debut for an…

And now he got to witness his first of many Chicago Cubs buttfuckings.

Rizzo gets a double, and the Cubs lose by 16 runs.

                      Everything went as expected.
