    If All-Star Teams Were Chosen Today - Empire's 2012 MLB All-Star Rosters

These are as of today, so I left out guys on the DL like Kemp and Tulo. Pretty sure I didn't include anyone else on the DL.

The hardest part was finding a San Diego Padre to fit on the team. They are such a shit team, I just included Alonso out of mercy. I was gonna put Joe Thatcher in for middle relief, but fuck that.

I didn't account for fan voting because that's always stupid. You won't find Jose Reyes and his shitty season here. Only 4 Yankees here so you get the idea.

No Harper or Trout because I guess they don't have the AB's to be among the stat leaders. I wouldn't be surprised if either or both end up making the real team.

For pitching staff's I included per team, 1 starting pitcher, 9 back-up starters, 2 middle relievers and 3 closers.

Not a fan of Matt Kemp's 1.163 OPS?

I will post my All-Star ballot in here. I think we should all publicize our votes, in fact.

Looks pretty good. I think a guy like Parnell or another closer like Hanrahan will get in over Choate.

You're starting NL OF's WAR rankings among NL OFers:
                10th
                6th
                8th

And you have Cuddyer on the team. Wut.

Kemp is on baseball tonight right now and he's apparently the NL Homerun Derby captain so you should probably pencil him in. :gayrod:

I just glanced over your NL Pitchers... No Capuano or Jansen? Also for mid-relief, Jason Grilli has been lights out this year at the tender age of 65.

Everyone check in and make sure at least 5 players from your favorite team are on his list.

Empire is like the houston of the MLB section. Doesn't have a clue what he is talking about:

Ryan Braun's statistical rankings among NL Outfielder's
                        2.8 WAR-3RD
                        .291 ISO-1st
                        14 HRs-2nd
                        .421 wOBA-2nd
                        .598 slugging %-2nd
                        .390 OBP-5th

Clearly one of the best players in MLB once again this year.

Gob tries to be a baseball snob.

                              Not 3rd. According to BaseballReference...

Michael Bourn, Melky Cabrera, Martin Prado AND Andre Ethier have higher WAR's

So, Braun's having a great year...just not the best year.
