From what I heard, Dickey worked on adding and dropping velocity on his knuckleball of this past off-season. So, now he can change speeds making it that much more effective.

Are you sure this is true? I'm almost positive I remember Dave Steib throwing back to back one hitters, and I think he lost no hitters in the 9th both games.Comment

Dave Steib, 1988. In his last two starts of the season, he lost a no hitter WITH TWO OUTS IN THE 9TH both times.
He had a third one hitter earlier in the year. THREE one hit CG shut outs in one season. Amazing.

Isn't Jeter hitting over .300? This is where WAR fails. There is no chance Simmons has contributed above and beyond a replacement player more than Jeter, especially over only 15 games, and especially since Jeter has played well over 65.
