I know we're all about Trout and Harper in here, but Willie Middlebrooks has been quite impressive
The king was shaken. He went up to the room over the gateway and wept.
As he went, he said: "O my son Absalom! My son, my son Absalom!
If only I had died instead of you
O Absalom, my son, my son!"

Suddenly Chapman looks very hitable ...

Almost forgot how a sweep feels like. Cincy looks very vulnerable right now. Let's beat up on Ozzie and his goons.

He's actually been great all season. Except, I don't think he's ever been in a one run game before. And Davey Johnson somehow forgot that Burnett was going to face two power hitting righties and a guy who hits much better from the right side of the plate.

His mind is obviously focused on stripper smuggling.

So Ryan Zimmerman's plan, that apparently the front office and medical staff have signed off, is to get a cortisone injection every couple of weeks and play through his shoulder injury. He will have isit re-evaluated at the end of the season and get surgery if needed.

I'm not sure which bothers me more: That Zimmerman thinks this is a good idea as opposed to sitting on the DL or that the front office/medical staff is actually ok with doing this to a guy they're invested in for the next 10 years.

I'm leaning towards medical staff. I'm pretty sure this guy is the team doctor:

Shut him down for 15 days and let him rehab in Hagerstown.

I'm pretty sure if they would have shut him down right away slateman would have called him a bitch for not playing through the pain.

Great to take two of three from the Nats at home to come back from the disaster of the Mets series. Another solid start from :arrieta: and Matt Wieters comes through in the clutch.

You would think right? If they shut him down today, his last day on the DL would be the last game before the ASB. Would give him an extra few days off. He basically has a sprained ACL in his right shoulder. I don't know why they thought that would magically heal in 15 days. I really don't like the idea of injecting cortisone every 2 weeks in to a guy who's supposed to be the cornerstone of your team for the next ten years.

Anyway, walk off homer for Derek Norris. Props!!!
