      LOL x 11ty billion.

What a fucking joke....like we all didn't see this coming though. You just can't send a guy of his MLB historical relevance to prison on perjury. Short of Murder 1 or 2, this guy was walking even though he's about as classy and truthful as John Edwards.

This was a foregone conclusion the second that Pettite backed up on his testimony.

Once that happened the government's whole case was based on the testimony of a felon in McNamee.

I doubt it gets him into the HOF though because of some of the writers' anti steroids era agenda.

Credible evidence from someone with no credibility = acquitted

              Clemens is still slimy.

He's as guilty as sin, IMHO. However, the jury didn't see it that way.

So you give Clemens credit for lying and then being put on trial. Good for him.

Another shining example of the US justice system, where justice is determined by how well your lawyer performs, regardless of evidence.

Insiders are saying the prosecuters blew this one, and that, more than Pettitte's obvious backtracking, lost the case. That, along with McNamee's ex-wife testiffying about what a terrible husband he was. She was said to be a great witness, perfectly coached, and very sympathetic. Lame.

Call them slimy all you want, but to me, the two most credible people involved in the whole steroids mess are McNamee and Canseco.
