Chipper is now the all-time RBI leader for 3B, so ....

why isn't he at the top of this list? What a sham.

Adrian Beltre has a shot at 3000 hits and 400 HR. He also has some of the softest hands i've ever seen.

Only guys you could make a mild argument for being snubbed would be Beltre, Rolen, or somebody like Ken Boyer, although you probably wouldn't win any of those arguments.

Personally i'd rather have Beltre or Rolen at 21 years old than Brooks Robinson if I were starting a team, because while you lose something with the glove, those guys are still upper echelon fielders (probably two & three in my mind behind Robinson) but much better with the bat.

3B is not a deep position.

Probably because Schmidt is a 12x all star, 10 gold gloves, led the league in hrs 8 times. 6 silver sluggers, 3 NL Mvps

NAHSTE wasn't being serious, he was doing a mock homer bit, and taking a shot at the RBI stat, all at the same time.

An impressive feat of multitasking at that.

Yeah more of the latter because he just passed Brett for the honor a week ago. Actually grew up hating Chipper as a kid, I was like Randy Quaid in Major League II to his :wildthing: Rick Vaughn. Glad all that is past me.

That's just what he wants you to believe .....
The king was shaken. He went up to the room over the gateway and wept.
As he went, he said: "O my son Absalom! My son, my son Absalom!
If only I had died instead of you
O Absalom, my son, my son!"
