Oscar Taveras's strikeout rate this season is at 11%. Bryce Harper and Mike Trout each were at 18% last season, while guys like Wil Myers, Billy Hamilton and Jurickson Profar are at 24, 18 and 17% respectively.
It's been eight years since a player has posted 250 total bases, .550 slugging percentage and a 11% or below strikeout rate while spending the entire year in AA and/or AAA. And the player that achieved that feat (Jason Kubel) was two years older than Taveras's age of 20.
