Then everyone who wants to see the actual results should forward me their ballots they PM'd to Gooby, because you are taking a poll that means nothing far too seriously.Comment

Such acts will not be tolerated by the BBWAVSN. Nor will any false award winners be recognized by the Association. Please look for further awards announcements in the upcoming days.Comment

Oh, mysteriously, ballots start disappearing. Shocking. The king was shaken. He went up to the room over the gateway and wept.
As he went, he said: "O my son Absalom! My son, my son Absalom!
If only I had died instead of you
O Absalom, my son, my son!"Comment

Seriously, I don't want to take your thunder from doing something that involved some work for the site, but come on man. You're being completely ridiculous here, and still have yet to give me a reason why the ballot is invalid.Comment

This is so fucking childish man. You're turning an idea that would have been real cool to actually see the results into your own little power trip that you are manipulated the results so Braun wins MVP. Who fucking cares who wins what Award, are you going to lose sleep over it?
We all just want to see how the voting turned out, no one actually gives a shit if one of their favorite player actually wins an award....except you.Comment

The funny thing, is that I get it. Braun's his favorite player, and right now has gone through a lot of bad press and the steroid cloud hangs over him. Rafael Palmeiro was my third favorite player (behind Ripken and Mussina) growing up, and it sucks that a guy who has a fantastic resume isn't going to make the Hall of Fame for quite some time, if at all. Braun's got the same stuff to deal with, as do the Brewers and fans of the team. Gooby's taken a lot of flack for the Brewers this year, but it's all in good fun, and the team was pretty damn close to the playoffs anyway. No harm in that.
Like everyone else, I put some time and thought into these, and I'd like for them to be added to the rest. I don't need a special notification on this thread or anything like that, just for my picks to be factored in like everyone else.Comment

This is a strong troll by Goob right here. I like the heel turn. With a main eventer like w2b turning baby face and defending Thomasz, this fued has real potential. With the heat this will generate, it can really get both of them over as upper mid-carders.
Stay tuned folks ... Gob vs. Thomasz in the first round of 2013 VSN March Madness (coming next April).Comment

The BBWAVSN has issued the following statement:
All voting decisions are final, and will not be overturned or recalculated to include ballots from new or banned writers in the Association. Prior to the announcement of the 2012 MLB year end awards the decision was made by the Chairman of the Association to remove the ballot of one writer from the current and all future awards voting processes. This was done with not done due to contempt or dislike for the aforementioned writer, but rather to withhold the integrity of the association. Ballots deemed reckless or those containing careless oversights have always, and will always be removed from the process. The BBWAVSN has always prided itself in celebrating the very best players in baseball. Including such ballots would be imprudent on the Association's behalf, as well as unfair to the players, fans, and other writers.
All results were calculated with the utmost integrity. The ballots were then submitted to Arthur Andersen, LLP for review. Arthur Andersen, LLP has provided the Association with assurance that the 2012 voting results have been calculated correctly and are an honest following of the rules set forth in the BBWAVSN charter and rulebook. Furthermore a second set of results were calculated, that included the henceforth banned writer's ballots. The final winners of the second set of results were the same. However the decision remains final to exclude the ballot from the official results.
The remaining BBWAVSN 2012 MLB Year End Awards will be reviewed in the coming days. The Association is pleased to present them, and looks forward to friendly conversation and critique of the awards.Comment
