Wright got jobbed out of another GG. This year, he actually deserved it, too.

Just make all of his catcher's gear gold at this point.

I thought Mike Trout in CF and Brendan Ryan in SS were the biggest robberies. (No offense O's fans.) Rollins, Headley, CarGo and Cutch were all bad choices as well.

I agree with Woy about the snubs. The problem with Trout is that he spent over 300 innings in left field, so with the new rules stating that each position in the outfield should be represented, that hurt him in consideration for a Gold Glove.

I don't support Adam Jones either. He consistently posts a negative UZR each year, and this year he had a negative DRS. His athleticism allows him to make some plays that most would not, and he has a strong arm, but I would not have put him up for this award.

Brendan Ryan also had a higher UZR and DRS than JJ Hardy, so he should have gotten the award considering this is not a team award. The argument can be made that a shortstop on a winning team like the Orioles is worth more than one on a losing team like Ryan, but that shouldn't factor for an individual award like this.

Then again, when has the Gold Glove awards made much sense, and when are they useful in debating who is the better player?

Torii Hunter should've been nominated too. Much better stats than Francouer.

It's a shame that Ryan hasn't won one yet because he might be the best defensive player in all of baseball.

It's funny to hear Reds fans complaining about :notanallstar: not getting the GG to me. Sure he had a great year and is perhaps the best defensive 2B in the game...However Darwin Barney had 1 error. That is impressive in itself. The only gripe I have is that Cozart didn't get it over Rollins.

If he didn't meet an innings requirement then why make him a nominee? He was the best CFer in the AL. Jones wasn't even in the top 3 (Trout, Jackson, Span).

I call conspiracy against Trout. This is just so that it will be easier to not give him the MVP award.
The king was shaken. He went up to the room over the gateway and wept.
As he went, he said: "O my son Absalom! My son, my son Absalom!
If only I had died instead of you
O Absalom, my son, my son!"

I'm not arguing about Jones, I actually said I wouldn't consider him for this award. I don't think there is an inning requirement, but the time spent in left field probably affected him with the people who decide these awards. If this were just a general outfield position, then Trout definitely takes him a Gold Glove.
