The artist formerly known as Fausto Carmona

Free agent. I've never liked him. Doesn't K a lot of batters, high walk rate, gives up a ton of hits. Way older than people thought he was (32). Really only one good season, in which he out pitched his peripherals.

With all that said, its super slim pickings for free agent SP's, so he's drawing interest.

Where does he land? Top end of a bad rotation (Royals, Marlins, Astros)? Number five on a contender (Blue Jays, Yankees)? Why did I make this thread? I don't know!

Yankees could always take the risk, and give him a little more guaranteed money than most. On the same token, the Royals could hand off a multi-year deal as they appear desperate for pitching, so that's always a possibility.

That said, I'm going Yankees on this one.

I remember being pissed in 2010 when we traded for Jake Westbrook instead of him. I obviously made the wrong read there.
