Rizzo finally gets his White Whale.

Now the Nationals can re-sign Laroche and trade Morse or let Laroche walk and let Morse play first. Outfield is a whole lot better defensively. Span's contract is good too. Right as that option year comes up, the Brian Goodwin will either be ready for the bigs or he'll be a bust. Either way, we have options. Nice trade.

I never saw Meyer as more than a potential closer. A really, really good one, but a closer and not a starter.

Good deal for the Nats- they finally get their centerfielder and leadoff hitter. I think dealing from their pitching strength was a good move, instead of spending the cash on Upton or Bourn.
