I'm merely putting him where he goes. The Dodgers got about zero production from the number 1 spot last year so 114 OPS+ would've been welcome.

No, Adrian Gonzalez one of your middle of the order guys had that OPS+, Crawford didn't even play for your team. I wouldnt be too confident in what he's going to give you at this point.

You're right I read that wrong. I should really go back to studying for my final tomorrow...

I'm not worried about Gonzalez in the slightest.

And why should you? 31-year olds usually don't decline.

The moves the Dodgers are making remind me too much of last years' Angels and Marlins. You can't just sign a bunch of big name players to huge contracts and expect all the egos to mesh. Chemistry on a baseball team is very important. The teams that have won championships in the past decade with exception of the Yankees have built from within and added a few key pieces. The Dodgers seem to be just signing and trading for big names without regard for how they'll fit in to the overall plan. The Giants are absolutely the team to beat in the West until the Dodgers prove they are more than paper champions.

And why is Fangraphs so much better than Baseball Reference? Is it just your personal preference? According to BR's WAR, Greinke has only been worth $10 million or so over the past year. Regardless, I think it's foolish to determine a players' value on a subjective stat like WAR.

You have no chance arguing with this man.

Fangraphs uses FIP, Baseball reference uses ERA and their own crappy fielding metrics which have been well documented as being terrible.
