    Hideki Matsui Retires

The man with the epic porn collection will not make another attempt at the big leagues.

    Always liked this moment...

Could have died laughing when I read this:

"This is a Hall of Fame-caliber player, based on the body of work that he's done." – Joe Maddon on Hideki Matsui: http://atmlb.com/TsLsVY

Red Sox killer. I think he had a solid 10-yr career.

More than likely. But, it is the National Baseball HOF and Museum. Not the International Baseball HOF. As much as I like Joe, I would love to hear him expound on this a little more because I don't think HOF when I think of Hideki Matsui.

I agree with that sentiment as well but with the increasing globalization of the game it's inevitable that all professional stats will soon be included in a HOF resume

I do agree that eventually they will be part of the resume, but there is no other league that has the talent quite like MLB. In Japan they're playing in a glorified minor league, and for ever Matsui and Ichiro, theres Kaz Matsui and Kei Igawa. With the idiots who are voting now, I sure as hell wouldn't trust them to use those stats wisely. It takes a brain to actually look at those stats, and not take them fully for what they are worth because of the lack of talent.

Why can't they be kept seperate? Should we be inducting Dallas Comegys to the Naismith Hall of Fame because of his Greek League stats?
