Elijah Dukes arrested for fifth time

Former major-league outfielder Elijah Dukes has been arrested for -- let's see -- the fifth time?

The Tampa Bay Times reports that Dukes this time has been picked up for failing to appear in court on "several drug and traffic charges."

In the past, Dukes has been arrested for, among other offenses, failing to pay child support and repeatedly slapping his pregnant ex-girlfriend.

Dukes spent three seasons in the majors with the Rays, who originally drafted him in the third round in 2002, and the Nationals. He earned $1.188 million in his major-league career.

At some point, you're no longer a mere "spoiled athlete with no sense of accountability" but rather a rank sociopath. Wherever that point is found, Dukes long ago passed it.

Those shall forever be referred to as "The Dark Times" and shall never be mentioned, along with "The Visored One"
The king was shaken. He went up to the room over the gateway and wept.
As he went, he said: "O my son Absalom! My son, my son Absalom!
If only I had died instead of you
O Absalom, my son, my son!"

        Dark times? Sounds delightfully racist
