Both D'Arnaud and Wheeler should be up and starting by the end of June at the latest. Both will be under team control through 2019 in that scenario.

Sure, the Mets have no outfield, but fuck that, their infield may finally be set for the first time since their one playoff birth this side of the subway series. They haven't had a good everyday catcher since Lo Duca and no great catcher since Piazza.

And with Wheeler, they can boast 3 (at the least) very good starters 26-years-old or younger.

Still a ways to go, namely finding any value out of the 3 outfield spots and piecing together a bullpen, but fuck it, SPRING TRAINING'S ALMOST HERE!

Most of their higher profile guys from years past have lost their luster. None of their dozens of catchers can play defense very well it seems, even after unloading Montero, and Betances led the minors in walks issued last year. Their system has really fallen off, but it's not all because of their own depleting of it through trades. Some of it is just their supposed studs being previously over-sold.

14) New York Yankees (16 last year): Strengths: quartet of young hitters at the top, with Gary Sanchez, Tyler Austin, Mason Williams, and Slade Heathcott all potential impact prospects, though all have some questions. Good depth in C+ types behind them. Weaknesses: impact pitching. I don't count Manny Banuelos as an automatic Tommy John recovery. Wildcard: Rafael DePaula, who could vault up lists quickly once he pitches against people his own age.
