How dare the Dodgers violate the sanctity of the most prestigious and historic mallpark in the majors.

Something tells me Mickey Mantle did this a lot at the old one.

Ty Cobb didn't jump in the St. Louis Brown's pool when the Tigers clinched the 1907 World Series berth.

In 2014, I'm sure the Dbacks will build sandcastles after they clinch the NL West in San Diego.

I was always taught by every coach I ever had in every sport, and my dad, to not show up your opponent, always play with class & respect. So I will never understand this garbage or why people defend it.

Some people have class & respect for the game, others don't. You'd never see somebody like Derek Jeter or Mariano Rivera or Bob Gibson or Albert Pujols or Joey Votto or Hank Aaron pulling shit like this. I expect it out of mental cases like Puig or Hanley, but seeing a 33 year old Adrian Gonzalez jumping into that pool like a retard was cringe worthy. He should have been the one making sure the rest of these dopes behaved like professionals.

I'm not going after the Dodgers with a pitchfork & a torch, but it was bush to behave that way on a road park and the D'Backs have every right to be upset. It's one thing to defend the Dodgers for Farve'ing it up out there, but the people ripping Bloomquist and other D'Backs for not liking it are way off base.

dude, in my honest opinion...if any DBack is actually really offended by this they are dumb as a rock. Jumping into a pool in a ball park a good deal of time after fans have left is not bad sportsmanship like doing a happy dance on home plate after rounding the bases on a home run off a certain pitcher...the people who always taught you sportsmanship never played 162 games and won a division. This is just sports news for sports news sake. Its not an issue, its not a problem....that I just wasted time typing about....

I honestly don't care and I think people are taking it way too seriously. It's a child's game and the winners had fun celebrating. Bat flips don't bother me. Pointing a hitter to the dugout after a strikeout doesn't bother me. Any number of things like that are fine. It's a GAME.

ANd honestly, what goes around will come around eventually. So that means that when the Diamondbacks clinch in LA some year they can run around doing dumb shit on the field (Dodgers' really don't have anything gimmicky to play with...) and GRITTY guys like Skip Schumaker who PLAY THE RIGHT WAY will get mad and threaten to throw beanballs or talk sanctimoniously about "class" to reporters. Meanwhile, I just get sad about the loss and then move on. I have more important shit to worry about than another team's victory dance.

Arizona showed me their "class" when they intentionally threw at the heads of my starting cereberle pitcher and rookie sensation

So point be made. We will come into your hometown and dance in your fucking pools if you piss us off.

well, at least the Dodgers organization made some good extra money this year with the home playoff games and were 2 away from a Series
